Subject: PREPARATORY SEMINAR FOR THE 2ND EU-LAC ACADEMIC SUMMIT
BUCHAREST, 26TH and 27th of MAY 2014
Esteemed colleagues,
I have the pleasure to invite you to the PREPARATORY SEMINAR FOR THE 2ND EU-LAC SUMMIT, that will be organized in Bucharest between 26th and 27th of May by the Institute of Latin-American Studies at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), with the support of the Romanian Ministry of Education.
The Executive Secretariat of the Permanent Academic Forum from the EU-LAC Summit, together with the EULAC Foundation, had agreed to support this seminar, given this event’s relevance in further debating the propositions agreed upon during the 1st EU-LAC Academic Summit, held in Santiago de Chile in January 2013. Taking as starting point the provisions encompassed by the Santiago Declaration, this reunion will represent the perfect opportunity to develop more concrete ideas and proposals, in relation with the celebration of the 2nd EU-LAC Academic Summit, which will take place in Brussels in 2015.
More information regarding the participants’ registration and further detail on the seminar you may find on the Institute’s web page: http://www.isla.snspa.ro/. Moreover, a preliminary schedule of the event will be available starting from October.
Therefore, I recommend my colleagues to make the necessary arrangements in order to attend this event from May 2014.
As it happened during the 2012 preparatory seminars, participating institutions cover their travel and accommodation expenses, while the hosts bear the costs of the reunion’s organization.
