Master in Latin American Studies: 2016 pre-enrollment

The Department of International Relations and European Integration  (DIREI) of SNSPA offers to those interest in applying for a Master Degree in Latin American Studies in 2016 a pre-enrollment service.

By filling out the 2016 online pre-enrollment form, DIREI candidates are given the opportunity to benefit from:

  • subscription to a monthly newsletter with opportunities and events in the field of International Relations and European Studies;
  • information concerning DRIIE events such as conferences, debates, roundtables, book releases, educational fairs, lectures open to the public, tutoring activities, etc.
  • academic tutoring for writing the admission essay (at the request of candidates);
  • specific professional guidance and counseling for each MA program offered by DIREI.

International Congress for Higher Education ‘University 2016’

 

headerphotoThe International Congress for Higher Education ‘University 2016’ will be held in Havana, Cuba between 15 to 19 February. The event, now in its tenth edition, will be based on the declaration “Innovative University for a sustainable human development” and it will bring together professors, experts, and representatives of various national and international authorities and institutions.

Professor Iordan Gheorghe Barbulescu, director of the Institute of Latin American Studies and Dean of the Department of International Relations and European Integration of the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration, will be present at the congress and he will lecture in the panel “Higher education and its perspectives”.

Uruguay success story: 95% of its electricity from renewables

At the climate summit in Paris, Uruguay announced that it produces 94.5% of electricity from renewable energy sources.

The performance was achieved in less than ten years without government support or increases in consumer prices.In fact, reducing to near-zero carbon emissions was accompanied by notable declines in electricity costs.

In the last 5 years, in Uruguay, investments in renewable energy reached 15% of GDP, rising to $ 7 billion.

A new generation of MA in LAS

On 1st October 2015, once the academic year opened, the students of MA in Latin American Studies at the Department of International Relations and European Integration of SNSPA began courses. We welcome them and we strongly believe that they will become significant players in the collaborative process between EU and Latin America and Caribbean.

Venezuelan Film Festival

The Embassy of Venezuela in Bucharest invites those interested in Latin American culture at the inauguration of the Venezuelan Film Festival, which will take place Tuesday, May 5, 2015, from 18:30 at Romanian Peasant Museum, Horia room.
